Things to Know Before You Go
Fishing
Fishing at American Legion Lake is a cherished activity for members and their guests. To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone, please adhere to the following rules:
Fishing License: This lake is on private property, therefore no fishing license is required.
Daily Limits: In an effort to allow the bass in the lake to grow, there is a limit of 5 bass per day. There is no limit on catfish, crappie, or perch.
Respect Other Users: Maintain a respectful distance from other anglers and comply with any posted signs.
Leave No Trace: Dispose of all waste properly and keep the area clean for future visitors.
Post Boats
The American Legion Lake water craft are available for use by members in good standing. To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone, please adhere to the following rules:
Eligibility: Only members of Post 15 and their immediate family and guests may use the boats.
Reservation: Boats are available on a first-come first-serve basis.
Safety Equipment: Life Jackets are available for use and is encouraged for all users and is required for users under the age of 16.
Capacity Limits: Adhere to the posted capacity limits for each boat to ensure safety.
Alcohol Use: Alcohol consumption is prohibited while operating a water craft. If alcohol is consumed, please designate a sober operator.
Age Limits: Operators of water craft must be a minimum of 16-years-old.
Clean-Up: After use, ensure the boat is cleaned and returned to its proper storage location.
Damage Reporting: Any damage or mechanical issues must be reported immediately to the Post leadership.
