Post 15 Leaders Elected to 3rd District Positions, Strengthening East Texas Leadership

On March 15, 2025, American Legion Jordan-Duncan Post 15 once again demonstrated its commitment to service and leadership as several of its dedicated members were elected to key positions within the American Legion 3rd District. This achievement is a testament to the strength, dedication, and influence of Post 15 in upholding the mission and core values of the American Legion throughout East Texas.

The following members from Post 15 were elected to serve at the district level:

  • Preston Swift, Post 15 Commander – 3rd District Vice Commander

  • David Vinson – Post 15 Sons of the American Legion Squadron Commander – Sons of the American Legion 3rd District Sgt. at Arms

  • David Knowels, Post 15 Judge Advocate – 3rd District Judge Advocate

  • Jimmy Helmeth, Post 15 Chaplain – 3rd District Chaplain

These elections highlight the respect and trust that Post 15 members have earned within the broader American Legion community. Through their leadership, these individuals will continue to foster the principles of Americanism, mentorship, and service to veterans, their families, and the communities of East Texas.
